Right now, Helsinki is stuck with slow and expensive systems – systems that don’t work well enough. That’s not good enough, but we can fix this. With the right tools – such as artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing (that is, computing at the edge of the network), and smart city planning – we can reduce inefficiency, speed up services, and improve quality of life without increasing costs.

I was born in Helsinki and live in Töölö. Helsinki should also be a city with more accessible beaches and greener spaces for everyone to enjoy. Every day, I see how Helsinki could function more intelligently – in traffic, public services, education, and energy efficiency.

As the founder and CEO of an AI company, I build solutions that lower infrastructure costs, improve multilingual services, and reduce energy consumption. I develop systems that function reliably even in tightly regulated environments, support local language skills, and ensure that data remains under the user’s control.

I believe that language builds trust – and that clear, context-aware communication is at the heart of a city that works. That’s why I develop tools that support understanding between people, also with the help of technology.

I’m involved in developing education in Helsinki to ensure our schools prepare students for the future with modern tools, accessible technology, and forward-thinking teaching practices.
